Our team has over 40 years of venture capital experience and a long history of investing and managing venture funds. The Managing Members of MK Capital have managed six venture funds and over $300 million of capital in the past twelve years. Each member of the MK Capital team has previously been an entrepreneur and manager. As a result, each team member has substantial operating experience and a proven track record of helping small business grow successfully. We have advised dozens of companies as board members in a variety of economic cycles, industries, and stages of development. Each team member plays an active role both in the Fund's investment activities and in assisting portfolio companies.

Yair Landau

Yair is a partner with MK Capital based in the Firm's Los Angeles offices. He brings deep management and operating expertise in the digital media, digital production and gaming spaces, and sits on the board of the Firm's portfolio company, Machinima. Prior to joining MK Capital, Landau served as Vice Chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and President of Sony Pictures Digital, which he formed in 1999 and consisted of Sony Pictures Imageworks, Sony Pictures Animation and Sony Online Entertainment. As head of corporate development for Sony Pictures, Landau was responsible for securing the underlying rights to the SPIDERMAN franchise, as well as launching Movielink, the 5-studio movie download service. Under Landau's direction, Sony Pictures Imageworks developed into a leading digital animation and visual effects company. Yair also formed and managed Sony Pictures Animation, a full-scale animation unit producing full-length CG animated feature films. He was executive producer of the 2009 hit, CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS. As well, Landau guided Sony Online Entertainment into a worldwide leader in massively multiplayer online games before it was transitioned under Sony Playstation following his departure. As an active entrepreneur, Yair is the president and founder of Mass Animation, the leading online animation studio collaboratively producing entertaining digital content. Yair is a graduate of the University of Chicago and holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
